New Rules For Graduated Driver Training& Licensing Applicants Only

For Graduated Driver Training and Licensing applicants only – as of 9 October 2017 it is a requirement that you:

• are 17 years of age or older at the time of the Practical Driving Assessment (except moped assessments);
• have recorded a minimum of 50 hours of supervised driving in your logbook, including 5 hours of night time driving. Car (C) class applicants 25 years of age and over are exempt from the Logbook requirements;
• have successfully completed the Hazard Perception Test; and
• have held your learner’s permit for a minimum of six months.
